MAIN POINT :  I will give second chances to others!

BIBLE STORY :  Saul Conversion (Acts 7 & 9)

TAKE AWAY :  Giving people second chances isn't easy, and sometimes we feel like they don't deserve it.  We should always be willing to give others second chances.  

MEMORY VERSE: "Then Peter came to him and asked, 'Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?' 'No, not seven times,' Jesus replied, 'but seventy times seven.'" Matthew  18:21-22

CHALLENGE : Discuss with your child what forgiveness is, and the importance of forgiving others and giving them second chances.  Read and review the bible verse with him/her.

BASIC TRUTH :    God made me.

BOTTOM LINE: I can do what God wants me to do.

STORY SUMMARY:  I can do things God’s way. (Daniel 1)

I know God made me and has a special plan for me! God likes it when I am nice and share with others around me.

MEMORY VERSE: “God made us to do good works.” Ephesians 2:10

CHALLENGE: Read through the scripture with your child and pray together. Explain to your child how God made us to do good things for others.

ARMOR OF GOD - WEEK 2

MAIN POINT :  Guard Your Heart

BIBLE STORY :  Story of Jonah and Ninevah

TAKE AWAY :  Children will learn that we can guard our heart by seeking the Lord with our whole heart, keeping his commandments, and by storing up His word in our heart. "Putting on the Breastplate of Righteousness" This will help us to recognize Gods instructions and to make good decisions.

MEMORY VERSE: EPHESIANS 6: 13-18 “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.” (ESV) 

CHALLENGE : Have a conversation with your child about Psalm 119:9-11 Ask them what they think these verses have to do with righteousness.

ARMOR OF GOD - WEEK 1

MAIN POINT :  THE TRUTH HOLDS EVERYTHING TOGETHER

BIBLE STORY :  SUPPORTING SCRIPTURES Colossians 1:17  John 14:6

TAKE AWAY :  Children will learn what it means to wear the belt of truth and to have the truth of Jesus in their lives, holding them together.

CHALLENGE : Have a conversation with your child USING THESE QUESTIONS:

What truth does God speak about you?  What is truth? How do you know when someone is telling you the truth? How does it feel to tell the truth?  Is telling the truth always easy?  Why/why not?  Is telling the truth always the right thing to do? Why/why not?  What does it mean to have the truth in your life?[For older kids] If you use social media, how do you use it to tell the truth? Is it easy to tell if others are telling the truth?  How has the truth of the gospel made a difference to your life?

CHALLENGE : Have a conversation with your child about what it means to love God through obedience and spending time with him. Then discuss what it looks like to love others.

MEMORY VERSE: Romans 8:39 “No power in the sky above or in the earth below, indeed nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (NLT) 

CHALLENGE : Have a conversation with your child about Easter. What does it mean to them? Why is it so important? Why would God use Jesus to save us?

NEWSLETTER - APRIL 2017

Welcome to the March MVMT KIDS Newsletter! We have some exciting things happening this month and we can't wait to share with you!

WHAT'S NEW?

Easter !!

 Sunday April 16, 2017

We are so excited to celebrate Easter! This year we are going to have an Easter Egg Hunt for Kids Little and Middle and our Kids Big will be having our 4th annual GLOW PARTY! There will also be a photo booth, live bunnies, cotton candy and cold brew coffee and kombucha on tap for the parents after service. Make sure to invite your family and friends to join us!

Kids Big

On March 12th we started a brand new exciting series called "On the Trail"! It is all about the Exodus of Egypt with the Israelites and Moses. They have been learning awesome biblical principals and having a blast!

Baptism

On April 30th our church will be having a Baptism Sunday! If your child has accepted Jesus as their Lord and savior and would like to be baptized text "baptism" to the Movement Church number 949.267.3242 to register.

One of our greatest desires is to help families grow spiritually TOGETHER! Thats why we started this monthly newsletter and also made take home cards available online! If you haven't checked out the online take-home cards yet here are some instructions on a quick way to access your child's take home cards from past Sundays.

MAIN POINT :   I Obey God Because I Love Him!

BIBLE STORY :  Exodus 5 – 11 (The Ten Plagues) 

TAKE AWAY :  Children will learn that the way we show love to God is by being obedient to Him and to other figures of authority. Therefore, we should be obedient every day.

MEMORY VERSE: John 14:15 “If you love me, obey my commandments.” (NLT) 

CHALLENGE : Read the bible story together and discuss what obedience looks like in their life.

WHAT'S NEW?

Child Dedication

 Sunday March 12 2017

We are going to be having a Child Dedication service on March 12. Dedication is a celebration that recognizes your child as a gift from God and makes public the church's commitment to your family and your commitment to raising your child in the church. To dedicate your child to the Lord is to make a promise to completely submit your child to the will of God and raise that child in the ways of the Lord. 

If you are the parent of an infant, toddler or kindergarten age child and you would like to dedicate your child to the Lord, we would be honored to be a part of this special time for your family.  
Child Dedication will be held at The Movement Church on Sunday, March 12th. To have your child dedicated please email us kids@theocmovement.com. Please feel free to invite your friends and family to join us for this special service as well! We will be sending out details to the families that register.

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not

Its Party Time! This Sunday, March 5th, we are having our "End of Series Review Party" As we wrap up our Dojo series we want to celebrate and review all that we learned in this incredible series. So this Sunday March 5th we will be having a party in Kids Big. So tell the kids that they can dress up in karate gear and to invite a friend!

Then on March 12th we are starting a brand new exciting series in Kids Big that the kids are going to love!
