KIDS BIG — Easter!!

MAIN POINT: I am God’s Masterpiece

BIBLE STORY: The Easter Story.

TAKE AWAY: The goal of today’s lesson is that our children get a full understanding of the purpose and reason behind Jesus’ death and resurrection. We want our kids to know that Jesus loves them, so much so He was willing to die on the cross for them, because He sees them as a masterpiece.

MEMORY VERSE:  But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 NIV

CHALLENGE: Why did Jesus die on the cross for me? What does Jesus think about me?

SALVATION: Today your children were given an opportunity to accept Christ into their hearts as their personal savior. They were taught that God has a unique and special plan for each of us, and He wants great things for us. Following God is a choice that we get to make, and we make it by praying a prayer of salvation. This means that we are telling God we believe that He sent His son Jesus to die on the cross for us, se we can have a relationship with God. We know that we are sinners, but God loves us so much He sent Jesus to die while we still sinned, so that we can be closer to God. We know that following Jesus will not always be easy, but we also know that God is always with us, and will give us the strength to overcome anything that gets in our way.
